It’s the close of day 7 and I begin day 8 with 15,030 words. My story isn’t strong, my plot gapes with holes, but my characters are relaxed and seem to do okay as long as I get out of the way. I’m a little concerned about what might happen to Tgorik once Aris enters the picture. I get the sense that he might be more possessive than to allow another to assume the lead role of Breece’s protector. However, I also have images of him dying, though I’m not sure how or why. I can’t decide if I should follow my gut or try to keep the story moving in the direction I think it should go.

I’m pleased with my progress and happy for the freedom. For now, they’re both positive signs. Maybe I want to be a writer after all. :)
