The Draw to Steampunk (assemblage art)
If you’ve an eye for steampunk check out missmonstermel’s skulls on flikr. I found the original link about her skulls through boingboing, but her gloves, paintings, steampatch, and boot covers are pretty snazzy, too.

Test Driving Mailman, take two
Oooh, lookit: Lists @ Everwild
Creating discussion lists is a lot easier on DreamHost. It’s still Mailman, which I used on LeHost, but set-up with DH was point-n-click, no guesswork at all. I started a Little Art Club, now I might have to start a Little Geek Club and perhaps a Little Poetry Club!

Test Driving Fimo
They’ve turned out much better than I anticipated, this being the first time I’ve tried using Fimo for an actual clay project. Susan warned me about how different its properties are compared to Sculpey (III and Premo). Fimo definitely conditions slower and almost to the point where I wasn’t sure if it’d ever stop crumbling. Even so, the end result was a pleasant surprise, and look NO scorched bunnies!

Way to go NIN!
Ghosts I-IV released under a Creative Commons license. Yet another step in the right direction. Nine Inch Nails is also offering the first nine tracks of Ghost free of charge. DRM free MP3s LAME encoded. Maybe it won’t topple Evil Empire #1XX (the RIAA), but maybe it goes a long way in showing that piracy issues are more smoke and mirrors just like the Bush Administration trying to pull the wool over our eyes when it says WARRANT LESS wiretapping is a necessary evil.
Okay, so maybe we should hold off moving to that cabin in the Swiss Alps. Besides, it’s kinda chilly up yon. :)
